  • ICT Resource Assistant - IT Services Team

    8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday

    8.00am – 3.30pm Friday

    Actual Salary - £22,737 - £23,114

     

    We are looking to appoint a highly organised person to fill this busy, and sometimes physically demanding role within our IT Services Team.  The range of duties involved will vary from day to day, reflecting the busy and varied life within a secondary school.  The post holder will need to always be flexible in approach and outlook and be able to communicate well with staff and students.

     

    The successful candidate will be:

    • Efficient and timely responses to requests made to the Helpdesk.
    • Assisting with the production of materials required for teaching as requested, including photocopying, printing, downloading of materials, laminating, etc.
    • Taking student/staff photographs, creating ID badges and recording special events.
    • Carrying out PAT testing across college.
    • Monitoring and managing stocks and supplies, cataloguing as required.
    • Assisting in the set-up of equipment such as laptop/desktop computers, data projectors, interactive television, sound systems and other specialist ICT equipment.

    We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students within our integrated resource provision.  The Key Stage 5 (Post 16) Resource Provision offers continuity of provision for students and starts the critical process of building up their Preparation for Adulthood through the Level 1&2 Pre-Apprenticeship-Work Skills BTEC Diploma course, tailored work experiences and enrichment opportunities.

    Join Minsthorpe Community College as an Exam Invigilator

    We are seeking reliable enthusiastic and committed applicants to join our team of exam invigilators, providing invigilation to both internal and external examinations on a part time basis throughout the academic year.

    Previous experience is not required as full mandatory training will be provided. The position requires someone who has the availability during term time and can commit to a combination on both morning and afternoon session during peak exam periods May-June, Nov-Dec, Jan-Feb.

    Successful candidates will:

    • have an interest in helping us support students achieve their best
    • provide assistance with the setting-up of exam rooms
    • to distribute question papers, answer booklets and associated materials at the beginning of the exams
    • provide students with additional paper / equipment as necessary in accordance with exam board regulations
    • collect papers at the end of exams as per the instruction of the Lead Invigilator
    • scribe/read for students who have Access Arrangements in place
    • help create a calm environment
    • monitor behaviour
    • ensure students have the right materials and information they need
