Home Learning

Home Learning is an invaluable opportunity for our students to continue and strengthen their learning and when students, staff and parents/carers work together, we believe that our young people will make the most progress and achieve the best outcomes. Completing Home Learning tasks in a supportive environment contributes significantly to student success and encourages them to develop an ongoing positive attitude to learning.

Throughout the curriculum at Minsthorpe, we use a wide range of Home Learning strategies to help stimulate and engage students to work independently at home. We want our students to take ownership of their learning, which is fundamental to their success at every stage of their educational journey.

We will use the Satchel: One platform, including the student/parent app, for setting and monitoring Home Learning and communicating with parents/carers about the tasks that need to be completed outside the classroom. In the event of the need for remote learning, your child will be directed to access tasks via Satchel:one.

Please see the documents below for further information and to support you and your child/children with using Satchel: One.

Please get in touch via enquiries@minsthorpe.cc, should you have any further questions or to speak directly to Mr L. D. Ruston- Associate Assistant Principal (Director of Pedagogy and Practice).
