Last week, a small group of Y8 students went to Wimbledon! 🎾🏆
They were a credit to themselves, their families, and the College. We are sure they made memories to last a lifetime!
This afternoon we have had the pleasure to award our year 9 students who have shown our values of motivation, commitment and care to graduate from key stage 3 into key stage 4.
This was the largest number of students we have ever had, and parents turned out in force to celebrate with their children. 
Get ready for an exciting Minsthorpe World Cup 2026, where every student plays a part in representing their P&A group’s country! Competing head-to-head, teams will earn points based on attendance, making every day in college count. With a league-style format, rising competition and a celebration assembly awaiting the winners, this is a fantastic opportunity to show team spirit, pride and commitment—plus there are prizes up for grabs, so make sure you are in and helping your country succeed!

Students have to have a full week’s attendance to get a raffle ticket on the Friday. There will be 12 chances to get a raffle ticket.

Last night we celebrated one of the highlights of our College calendar, Presentation Evening! It has been wonderful to celebrate the many successes of last year's Year 11 with the students, their families & our staff.
This week the Year 8 science fair, themed “Curiosity – What’s Your Question?”, was a brilliant celebration of imagination, investigation and scientific thinking. Our year 8 students impressed judges and visitors alike with projects that asked bold questions and explored everything from practical experiments to big‑picture ideas.
Four outstanding entrants (Brian, Scarlett, Bibby and Kayleigh) were awarded £10 Amazon vouchers for the creativity, clarity and curiosity shown in their work, although the judges said that they could have awarded many more prizes due to the high standard.
In the end Scarlett was awarded the Science fair trophy for her project. Her work highlighted the achievements of pioneering female scientists and encouraged her peers to think about equality and representation in STEM.
Well done year 8 on delivering what was easily the best science fair we’ve ever experienced.
