At Minsthorpe Community College we want every child to feel like they belong and that no matter what barrier they are experiencing support is available to help them succeed. We have a range of provision and support for students who have additional needs through our expert team of staff and through the support we receive from specialist agencies that helps to identify and remove barriers to learning.

We use simple, clear messages with our staff that they understand when they are teaching students with additional needs – Know Who, Know How.

Know Who

Who are the students you are teaching that need adaptations to succeed in your class?

Know How

How will you adapt tasks in each lesson to make your lessons accessible?

Visit our Policies and Documents page for our SEND and Equality policies, which are reviewed in line with statutory requirements.
